In the main page of your courses which is the page "My course list" you may come across certain icons.This implies that corresponding links/information and documents have been added since your last login.

For example if you find the documents icon next to a particular course you are registered you can view the new documents your teacher has added since your last visit. No new icons appear for any changes or additions that you make in your courses.
