Clicking on the "Tracking" link, from the main course page, allows you to see where there has been activity in the course.

You can monitor your students by checking: did they connect to the system, when, how many times? Did they solve the exercises? Did they already upload their Paper? When? If you use Scorm courses, you can even see how much time a student spent on a module or chapter. The tracking gives information at 2 levels:

Globally: How many students access the course? What are the most visited pages and links?

Nominatively: What pages has John Doe visited? What score de he get in tests? When was his last connection on the system?
