The "Poll" tool contains polls related to your course. This can be a valuable tool to monitor user opinions on different issues related to your course.

The Poll tool allows you to:

• Create a new poll
• View active polls
• View finished polls
• Modify a poll
• View poll results

To create a new poll

• Click on the "Poll" link from the main page.
• Click on the "New Poll" link.
• Please insert the number of answers you want in the corresponding field (minimum of 2).
• Click on "OK".
• Type in your question and corresponding answers in the required fields.
• In the calendar select the beginning and ending dates of the poll.
• Determine the start and end times of the poll.
• Click on "OK".

The new poll has been added to the list of polls

To modify a poll

• From the section "polls" find the particular poll you wish to edit.
• Edit the poll by clicking on the "pencil" icon in the options column.
• Click on "OK".

The poll has now been changed. If you wish to delete a poll click on the "X" icon in the options column. A confirmation window will appear on the your screen. Click on the "OK" button to delete the poll.

To view poll results

• From the section "polls" find the particular poll you wish to view the results of and click on the number of votes under the column heading "Votes".
• You can view the poll results, the total number of responses per answer and the total number of votes.
• Click on the "return" button to return back to the poll list.
